Write your episode footer once and use it everywhere, upload up to 10 images at once, manage hosts as cards, see how new episodes do in their first 30 days, and get specific help when a custom domain isn't set up right.
Unlimited episodes and custom domains on every paid plan, per-episode download reports by month and year, easier episode editing, a preview before every import, and a long list of fixes from the summer and fall.
Now that we're moving on from the old interface, we're beginning to clean up and re-organize some of the more fragmented areas of the podcast Studio to make sure related features and functionality are grouped together better.
New time and calendar preferences, drag-and-drop file uploads, better episode metrics and navigation, and a long list of fixes and polish. Plus continued updates to our status page.
We've been working hard on ironing out all of the remaining details for the new UI and striving to make sure that it's not just change for the sake of change. We'll continue to work on it forever, of course, but we're getting really close to flipping the switch for everyone.
Please do not create a support ticket - our cloud storage provider is currently experiencing an issue that is affecting Fireside's ability to upload files.
The GeoIP database Fireside (and many others) use to calculate download locations went offline, which caused an interruption in updating metrics. It has has since come back online, and you should see your metrics updating normally.
I’ve made the decision to close down Fireside’s Slack. I’ve been so busy of late working on some exciting new features and doing support that I haven’t been able to maintain a decent presence there.
We have mitigated the issue where erroneous downloads from Amazon were being reported. Over the next few days we will be rolling out a fix that should help restore normal download counts for affected episodes.
Our upstream provider is reporting intermittent issues with file uploads. If you run into problems, please try again. We'll post an update as soon as we know more or have a workaround in place.
Some customers are reporting seeing inflated stats credited to Amazon. We’re working on finding out exactly what’s up here and are working on a remedy for the issue.
**Update:** We have implemented our own solution to mitigate this issue.
There is currently an Internet-wide problem with DNS resolution happening right now. We’ve checked our upstream providers and they are functioning properly except for certain regions, which seem to be experiencing an outage that is causing assets such as images and MP3 files to be temporarily unavailable.
We have of course notified them of the issue, but as this is an Internet-wide problem and not specific to Fireside, there's nothing we can do about it except wait for them to resolve it.
We're thrilled to tell you about a much requested billing-related feature that we've just rolled out: Yearly Billing! Now you can pay for your Fireside account for the entire year instead of making a payment each month, and save some money in the process because Starter, Standard, and Pro plans all get a free month when you switch.
Today we added a separate page for your Podcast achievements, which can be found in the sidebar near the bottom. Clicking it will reveal your Podcast's milestones!
Today we rolled out an update to the individual Episode Metrics Overview page. The Episode Lifespan line chart has been increased in size for better legibility, while the small chart displaying Episode downloads has been removed, from the main page and given its own page.
Today we rolled out an update to the way Fireside identifies podcast clients. We use the rules created by the Open Podcast Analytics Working Group to correctly parse the names of podcast clients (called _user -agents_) in order to classify their downloads. Correctly identifying them can also help us determine bogus downloads created by bots or services that shouldn't count as a real download.
I’m writing to tell you about our brand new Fireside Pro Plan! We’ve been hard at work creating a plan for podcasters who are becoming serious about their show, who want precise control over their collaborators’ roles and permissions, shareable download metrics, priority support, and the ability to upload MP3 files up to 200MB in size. The Pro Plan also features a handful of newly designed exclusive templates for your Fireside website.
As you've probably noticed, we've been hard at work on some improvements to Fireside, both behind the scenes as well as with some major improvements to the visuals and user experience.
These updates and improvements pave the way for some major enhancements coming over the next few weeks. Because so many of these upcoming upgrades come from your suggestions and ideas, it is my hope that they will make Fireside even easier, faster, and better to use.
Today we've rolled out two new tags in your RSS feed. The first contains the URL for an episode’s embeddable player. The second contains the full code for the embedded player itself (using the `iframe` tag) as we do on the normal web pages.
Now that Spotify has updated our API access, I have rolled out the update that reconnects Fireside's Stats Importer to the Spotify wellspring of knowledge. This means that Spotify metrics will again appear for podcasts connected to Spotify through Fireside. All "missing" Spotify stats have also been imported, so everything is up to date.
Thank you for your patience while we waited for Spotify to take this action!
Today we added a new column that allows you to modify Episode Title Style en-masse on the Episode Bulk Editing page. You can still edit Episode permalinks, titles, seasons, statuses, and publish dates too. We had to make the font smaller so we could squeeze it all into the limited space, but it's still legible to us while wearing our Nerd Computer Glasses™ (don't mock us!). This feature can be found under Settings > Advanced > Episode Bulk Editing.
That's it. That's the update.
**This issue seems to have been resolved.**
Last night our upstream provider experienced some connectivity issues which affected its many customers, including Fireside. Downloads and download tracking were not affected, but uploads might have been. It seems the problem may still be ongoing, so if you are still experiencing issues, such as failed MP3 processing, please file a support ticket so we can take a look for you.
Spotify has recently updated their API. We are working on implementing their changes. Your Spotify stats will start flowing again soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you so much for being a Fireside user, especially now. As a podcaster for over 14 years and a podcast listener for even longer, I know how important podcasts can be at times like these. It is our honor to be able to provide you (and your listeners) with a service that we've worked very hard on for about four years now, and that I hope helps you connect with people all around the world.
Here are some behind-the-scenes updates I'd like to share with you!

I have just rolled out a small but useful feature, a new version of the embeddable player that always plays your podcast's latest episode. The moment a new episode is released, the player will automatically show that episode.
Earlier this week we rolled out automatic Tweet publishing. Now you can connect your Podcast to Twitter with just one click, and Fireside will auto-tweet your episodes when they go live.
The new Fireside Player v2 launches today! We also have a new Community website for customer ideas, feedback, and discussions, some news about Dynamic Ad Insertion, Donation support, Stats, a Fireside chat, and more.
