A lot has shipped since the last update. Here's what's new.
Time & Calendar Preferences
Two new profile settings let you work the way you're used to. Choose between 12-hour and 24-hour time formats, and pick whether your week starts on Sunday or Monday. Both apply everywhere you see a date or calendar picker — episodes, articles, and bulk editing. If you leave either on "Auto," your browser's locale decides.
Overhauled Uploads
Uploads got a ground-up rework:
- Drag and drop files onto any upload area — you'll see a clear overlay ("Drop to upload" or "Drop to replace") while the file is over the drop zone
- Empty upload areas are clickable — tap anywhere on the placeholder to open the file picker
- Placeholder images now show a clear "Default" label so you know when you're looking at a placeholder vs. something you uploaded
- JFIF and WebP images are accepted alongside the usual formats
- Clearer error messages when an upload fails, instead of silent failures or generic errors
Episode Metrics
The metrics pages are easier to navigate and more reliable:
- Episode-level metrics now have proper tab navigation across Summary, Daily Downloads, Date Range, Countries, User Agents, and Platforms
- Previous/Next buttons let you step through episodes without going back to the list
- Blank states appear when there's no data yet, instead of broken charts
- Dropdowns for filtering episode chart data actually update the chart now
Status Page Updates
We've been steadily upgrading our status page to be more granular, accurate, and transparent. While we've made significant progress, it's something we'll continue to iterate and improve upon so that we're alerted faster if anything is down, delayed, or otherwise misbehaving. This also means you should increasingly be able to rely on it for accurate information if you notice any problems. Of course, you're always welcome and encouraged to reach out via support as well.
Custom Pages
The custom pages and links listing is more useful — you can see when each page was last updated and its visibility status at a glance. Navigation is simpler too: click a tile directly instead of going through dropdown menus.
Dismissable News
News bulletins can now be dismissed. Click the close button and it won't come back.
Automatic Dark/Light Improvements
Your theme selection now includes an "Auto" option that follows your OS light/dark preference. Your theme also persists correctly across every page.
Bulk Edit Redesign
The bulk edit page has a cleaner layout with better-organized columns and field grouping, making it faster to scan and update multiple episodes at once.
Polish & Fixes
- Numerous subtle design details for improved contrast and usability
- Improvements towards full-time SSL for all podcast sites
- Connection metadata displays international characters correctly instead of percent-encoded sequences
- Podcast Index submissions work again (was broken by a routing issue)
Under the Hood
Infrastructure upgrades that don't change how anything looks, but make things more reliable behind the scenes. Some of these led to some downtime, degraded performance, and other issues while we adjusted. We apologize for the hassle and inconvenience caused by the upgrades, but, rest assured, that it was all in the name of larger progress around performance and reliability.
