How Fireside Works with Spotify
Submit a new show from Fireside’s Connections page. If your show is already on Spotify, keep that listing and claim dashboard access. Spotify for Creators is where you manage your team, listener comments, and Spotify’s audience reports.

Submit Your Show through Fireside
Use this path when your show is not already on Spotify.
- Open the podcast’s Connections page in Fireside.
- Choose Submit to Spotify.
- Return to the connection to check the request. Use Check Approval Status when offered.
After submission: keep publishing in Fireside. A pending request does not need a second listing.
If submission tools are unavailable, check that you are managing the right podcast and that it has an active plan rather than demo access. Contact us if you are unsure why an action is missing.
Claim or Manage an Existing Listing
If your show is already on Spotify, keep that listing. If Fireside reports that the podcast already exists, contact us with the Spotify show URL so we can help connect the existing show.
Claiming a show gives you access to its Spotify for Creators dashboard. It does not move your hosting from Fireside.
In Spotify for Creators
- Sign in to Spotify for Creators. Choose Find an existing show, then Somewhere else. If you already manage another show, start with Add a new show.
- Enter the show’s RSS feed or Spotify URL.
- Enter the eight-digit verification code Spotify emails to the address in your RSS feed. If that address is wrong, correct Author Email in Fireside’s podcast Settings before retrying.
See Spotify’s claiming instructions. If another person has already claimed the show, they need to grant access.
Moving to Fireside?
When moving hosts, use the existing show’s Settings in Spotify for Creators to update its RSS feed and hosting provider. Follow Spotify’s feed-update instructions. Do not remove and resubmit the show as a migration step.
Publish Changes and Link Your Show
Publish new audio, episode details, and show artwork in Fireside. Spotify receives those updates from your public feed. Make sure its existing listing uses that feed, especially after moving hosts.
If the Spotify link on your Fireside website is missing or opens the wrong show, send Fireside the correct Spotify show URL. There is no editable Spotify link field under Settings → Podcast Apps.

Stream totals in Fireside
Fireside’s episode metrics show a Spotify Streams column when Spotify data has been received for the podcast. These are totals supplied by Spotify for your episodes.
In Spotify for Creators
Audience behavior in Spotify for Creators
Spotify for Creators provides a separate view of activity on Spotify. Open Analytics → Engagement to explore consumption time, followers, and completion information. Use its audience and discovery reports to understand who finds the show and how they engage. See Spotify’s engagement guide.
Why the numbers differ
Compare the same episodes and date range, and check which metric each report uses. Spotify changed its play-count definition in June 2026 to count at least 30 seconds of listening or watching. The imported totals labeled Spotify Streams in Fireside may use different counting rules. Downloads, imported stream totals, and Spotify dashboard plays are not interchangeable.

In Spotify for Creators
Use Spotify for Creators While Hosting with Fireside
Which dashboard is which?
Spotify for Creators is the current name of the dashboard previously called Spotify for Podcasters. Anchor was combined with Spotify for Podcasters before that rename. Older guides may use those names, but you should start at https://creators.spotify.com/ and choose the path for a show hosted somewhere else.
Team access and comments
After claiming your show, use Spotify’s dashboard to invite teammates and manage listener comments. Fireside collaborators and Spotify team members have separate access.
Video and other Spotify tools
For a video edition on Spotify, follow its instructions for shows hosted elsewhere. Uploading video there does not turn your Fireside audio feed into a video feed. Spotify-specific tools, availability, and monetization eligibility are managed by Spotify; submitting through Fireside does not enroll you in those programs.
Remove Your Show or Its Listening Link
Take the show off Spotify
If Connections offers Remove from Spotify, that action requests removal of the Spotify show; it is not merely unlinking the two dashboards. Use it only when you want the show taken off Spotify. For listings Fireside cannot remove, follow Spotify’s removal instructions.
Change only the website link
To correct or hide the Spotify link on your Fireside website, contact Fireside with your website URL and Spotify show URL. Tell us whether you want the link changed or hidden. Do not use Remove from Spotify for a website-link change.
A Pending, Missing, or Outdated Show
- Still pending
- Open Connections → Spotify and use Check Approval Status if offered. If it remains pending, send Fireside the submission date, feed URL, and any error shown.
- Fireside cannot confirm a public listing
- Search Spotify for your show. If you find it, send Fireside its show URL so we can investigate the existing listing without creating a duplicate.
- Episode or artwork missing
- Confirm the change is published in the Fireside feed and that Spotify is using the correct feed URL. Use Spotify for Creators support for an issue with its listing or dashboard.
