If you noticed a spike in your most recent episode's download count, please let us know by filing a support ticket so we can fix it for you. There was a bug that affected the way download counts for episodes published on or around Friday, December 14th. The bug has been fixed, but it's possible that there might be a few podcasts that are still showing the wrong count for that day.
