Recently a Bill was passed in the Assembly to impose a two-year moratorium on new crypto mining firms that use a carbon-based energy source.
Essentially banning companies from setting up proof of work mining farms in NY behind the grid at carbon-based power plants. Ed RA was one of the representatives to debate against it.
We would like to thank the Honorable Ed RA for being the first currently elected official, brave and open minded enough to jump on MoneroTalk. We have tried getting others in the past. Hopefully this will be the first of many as we explore, expose, and try to help steer crypto related regulations especially here in our home state of NY, which often leads the way for other states.
