Melvin grew up in South Africa living in a tin shack with his parents and five siblings. At seven years old, because of a deeply painful experience, he made a vow to free himself from the bonds of poverty. Through an amazing series of God-ordained events, he eventually became one of eight Zig Ziglar Platinum Speaker/Trainers in the world. Melvin ultimately credits all of this to one critical thing: having a mother who believed in Jesus and the power of prayer.
