Chase is a former U.S. Marine Corps Infantryman and veteran of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. During a 2005-06 deployment to Fallujah, Chase was critically injured by a roadside bomb which ended his career and nearly cost his life. After a lengthy recovery, Chase began to explore the world by visiting more than 70 countries as a traveling photographer.
